Races, as used in-game, are designated "generalized species". We say generalized because (this is a list of examples, not an all-encompassing list):

• All Dream Guides are collectively referred to as their own race, regardless of what their race would have been as a being that truly exists. For instance, while most people would refer to Athena as a Titan, for the purposes of Combat, dreaming, and organization, she is simply a Dream Guide.

• All Giants are Titans. Period.

• Neanderthals are Humans.
